Closed Die Forgings
Precision closed die aluminum alloy forgings that minimize raw material waste and reduce machining costs, delivering lower unit costs without compromising structural integrity or dimensional accuracy.
MTS Forge delivers precision aluminum alloy forgings engineered for the most demanding applications in aerospace, defense, power generation, and beyond. With decades of metallurgical expertise and state-of-the-art in-house capabilities, we produce high-strength, lightweight aluminum components that meet the tightest tolerances — reducing your material costs and machining time from day one.

From closed die and upset forgings to custom shapes and contour profiles, we deliver aluminum components engineered to exact specification.
Precision closed die aluminum alloy forgings that minimize raw material waste and reduce machining costs, delivering lower unit costs without compromising structural integrity or dimensional accuracy.
Aluminum upset forgings, rings, and cylinders produced in nearly all available grades, with forging diameters up to 26 inches and individual piece weights up to 1,500 pounds.
Contour forging services using a diverse range of aluminum alloys, delivering complex near-net shapes with superior grain flow and mechanical properties for demanding structural applications.
Custom aluminum alloy forgings tailored to your exact specifications, from small precision components to large industrial structures, combining advanced technology with proven American craftsmanship.
In-house normalizing and heat treatment services performed at our Coatesville, PA facility, refining grain structure and optimizing tensile strength, toughness, and machinability of aluminum forgings.
In-house rough machining applied immediately after forging, removing flash and dimensional excess to deliver near-net-shape aluminum components that reduce lead times and eliminate the need for a separate machining vendor.
Aluminum alloy forgings offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio that makes them indispensable in aerospace structures, defense hardware, and power generation equipment. At MTS Forge's Coatesville, PA facility, we leverage a large in-house tooling inventory and adjustable-tonnage press capabilities to forge aluminum shapes that dramatically reduce material consumption versus bar machining. The result: tighter tolerances, superior grain flow, improved fatigue resistance, and measurably lower unit costs — all backed by our comprehensive Quality Assurance Program with complete traceability.
