Yes. MTS Forge performs normalizing heat treatment in-house at our Coatesville, PA facility. Normalizing heats the forging above its upper critical temperature and allows controlled air cooling, which refines grain structure, relieves internal stresses from the forging process, and produces uniform mechanical properties throughout the flange — critical for reliable performance in high-pressure and high-temperature service.

Yes. Our in-house rough machining service removes forging flash and dimensional excess immediately after forging, bringing flanges close to near-net shape. This eliminates the need to source a separate machining vendor, reducing lead times and handling risk. Rough-machined flanges are dimensionally prepared for subsequent steps including heat treatment, non-destructive examination, or final finish machining by the customer.
