Co-Founder
Stephen Carr co-founded Manufacturing & Technical Services, Inc. — known as MTS Forge — in 1986 alongside Edward Waddell. With a deep metallurgical background and extensive practical knowledge of forging processes, Stephen helped shape the company's foundational commitment to quality and service. Under his leadership, MTS Forge grew from a startup forging shop in Coatesville, Pennsylvania into a recognized industry leader serving aerospace, defense, commercial nuclear, and power generation sectors. His technical expertise in alloy behavior, die design, and forging mechanics has been instrumental in developing MTS Forge's in-house capabilities and its reputation for delivering precision components that meet the strictest military and nuclear quality standards.
Co-Founder
Edward Waddell is a co-founder of MTS Forge, bringing a strong metallurgical background and broad expertise in forging practices to the business he helped establish in 1986. Together with Stephen Carr, Edward built the company on core principles of quality craftsmanship and dedicated customer service — values that continue to define MTS Forge today. His knowledge of material science and manufacturing processes has enabled MTS Forge to work with demanding materials such as high-performance alloys and duplex stainless steels. Edward's vision helped position MTS Forge as a trusted partner for manufacturers and procurement teams across Pennsylvania, Iowa, Kentucky, and Texas who require certified, traceable forged components for the most critical applications.
