Forged Nickel Alloy Check Valves

MTS Forge works with a range of high-performance nickel alloys suited for check valve applications, including Monel K-500, which offers exceptional corrosion resistance and strength in aggressive media. Our metallurgical expertise allows us to work with nearly all commercially available nickel alloy grades depending on your application's pressure, temperature, and corrosion requirements.

We primarily use closed die forging and contour forging to produce nickel alloy check valve components. Closed die forging delivers near-net-shape parts with excellent grain flow and reduced machining costs, while contour forging allows us to produce complex geometries required for check valve internals and bodies across a wide range of sizes and configurations.

MTS Forge can produce upset forgings, rings, and cylinders up to 26 inches in diameter and 1,500 pounds per piece. Flanged components are manufactured up to 14 inches. Yes. Our Coatesville, PA facility performs in-house normalizing heat treatment on forged components. This process heats the part above its upper critical temperature and allows it to cool in still air, refining grain structure and producing uniform mechanical properties — including improved tensile strength, toughness, and machinability — critical for check valve service conditions.
